While it’s easy enough to pick up a case of hard seltzer or beer, sometimes you want to feel fancy by having a more sophisticated drink. That’s when I bust out the Disaronno, personally. While the classic amaretto flavor isn’t for everyone, it’s definitely for me, which is why I was buzzing when I discovered that Disaronno Velvet is a thing now.

- Wait, what’s Disaronno Velvet? The bottle describes it as “a smooth cream with the unmistakable taste of Disaronno.” In other words, it’s kind of like Italy’s answer to Baileys Irish Cream, and that can’t be a bad thing. If you love creamy liqueurs, this one will be a winner.
- It packs a decent alcoholic punch. Disaronno Velvet has an ABV of 17%, which is pretty impressive. You’ll need to be careful when you drink it since it’s bound to be so tasty that you don’t realize how drunk you are until it’s already too late.
- You can drink it straight from the bottle. While you’ll need some ice to chill this drink out, Disaronno Velvet is meant to be enjoyed pretty much straight from the bottle, no other mixers or alcohol needed. It’s basically booze milk and I can’t think of any reason why anyone wouldn’t love that. I know I do!

While you can easily pick up Disaronno Velvet at your local liquor store, if you’d rather not have to put on pants and head out into the world, you can order a bottle online for $27.99 and have it brought straight to your door. - The original Disaronno still deserves love too. If you’ve never tried it but you really like Italian amaretto flavor, I recommend picking up a bottle of the original too. You won’t be sorry!
