These DIY Sunflower Skulls Are The Perfect Spooky Halloween Craft

Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s time to get ahead of the game and start planning this year’s decorations. Sure, your classic skeletons and witches are just fine, but if you really want to take things up a notch, you need to check out Instagrammer @backcountry_dad‘s incredible DIY sunflower skulls for the ultimate Halloween craft project.

  1. Beejay Olsen is an incredible talent. He’s also an artist, business owner, and a dad who takes pride in being able to make his own Halloween decorations every year. He recently shared photos of the sunflower skulls, revealing that the project had been underway since last year and was finally finished. I have to say, it’s really impressive!
  2. They’ll be part of a bigger Halloween centerpiece he’s working on. The sunflower skulls are an amazing Halloween craft just as they are, but Beejay says they’re meant to be part of a bigger installation if all goes well. I can’t imagine what it’ll be, but I’m sure it’s going to be amazing and super spooky!
  3. This isn’t the only Halloween decoration he’s made. He’s also done some awesome glowing dinosaur skeletons, some incredibly detailed jack o’lanterns, and so many other spooky displays. It’s clear he has a real love both for the holiday and for his art, and the results are ridiculously good.
  4. If you’re particularly crafty, the sunflower skulls would be an amazing project. However, while Beejay makes it look easy, the fact that they’ve taken so long to complete proves that’s not actually the case at all. In fact, they’ll take some serious skill and a lot of time and energy, so beware if you embark on this for Halloween.
  5. If you want to see more of Beejay’s incredible work, follow him online. He posts some of his work on his personal Instagram page as well as on his art Instagram. Believe me, he’s well worth a follow. There are plenty of Halloween crafts and so much more.
