Dog Dumped At Local Shelter Because Owners Say He’s Gay Stanly County Animal Shelter

A gorgeous dog was abandoned by his cruel owners because he was “gay,” a Stanly County Animal Shelter Facebook post revealed on Thursday. The shelter, in Stanly County, North Carolina, said that the animal was dumped after he humped another male dog, WCCB Charlotte reports.

  1. Fezco is a happy young pup. He’s about four or five years old and weighs roughly 50 pounds. His former owners said that he loves people and other animals, so why on earth would they hand him over?
  2. Chances are, calling the dog gay was just an excuse to abandon him. If it sounds like a ridiculous excuse, that’s because it is. Fezco is a perfectly healthy dog with a seemingly great temperament. They obviously just didn’t want to care for him anymore, which is really a shame.
  3. The shelter is asking for other local rescues to step up and help. They hope that a foster will be able to take Fezco before he’s adopted to a forever home that hopefully shows him much more love and loyalty than his previous one did!
  4. If you’re interested in taking Fezco in, get in touch. You can call the Stanly County Animal Shelter at (704) 986-3881. If you don’t, I’m sure someone else will very soon!
