Dolly Parton May Pose For Playboy For Her 75th Birthday

Dolly Parton has revealed that she’s considering posing for Playboy in time for her 75th birthday. The iconic singer said during an interview on the Scott Mills & Chris Stark show on Radio 5 Live that she’s in talks with the magazine for a feature that would “be in good taste” but that nothing was set in stone just yet.

  1. This wouldn’t be Dolly’s first Playboy cover. Lest we forget she appeared on the cover of the magazine back in 1978 in that now-legendary bunny costume. Seeing her revisit that all these years later — 43 years, to be specific! — would be incredible!
  2. Dolly’s weighing her options carefully. Asked whether she’d do another cover, she responded, “Yeah, I just might do it, if I can do it in good taste and they want it [and] we’ll do it along with a really good interview inside.  So, yeah, we’ve talked about it.”
  3. There needs to be more than just sexy pictures. Dolly also revealed that she’d been asked about appearing in Playboy before the 1978 cover but always refused. Eventually, it was the “good article” that won her over. “I have been asked, back in the day, but that was so totally not me. I would never do that… but that was a good article they ran in there, and it was just a fun thing to do,” she recalled. “That was just another way I was trying to market myself, at that time, to kinda get in the mainstream.”
  4. Personally, I think it would be amazing for her to do another cover. A 75-year-old woman showing just how sexy and badass she can be even in her later years? That’s Dolly!
