The Dutch Government Says Single People Should Find A ‘Sex Buddy’ To Quarantine With

The Netherlands is pretty well known for its more liberal views towards sex, which is why it wasn’t really surprising (but was definitely awesome) to see the Dutch government recommending that single people in the country find themselves a “sex buddy” to self-isolate with during lockdown. I mean, men and women do have needs, after all!

  1. The Dutch have been on “intelligent lockdown” since March 23. While small gatherings of people are allowed as long as social distancing protocols are observed, staying away from people does kind of get in the way of enjoying a little one-on-one intimacy with that special someone, hence the government guidelines.
  2. The National Institute for Public Health and Environment is not playing around. The updated guidance suggests that those who aren’t already living with a partner might find someone with which you can get it on while observing lockdown. “It makes sense that as a single [person] you also want to have physical contact,” it reads. “Discuss how best to do this together. For example, meet with the same person to have physical or sexual contact (for example, a cuddle buddy or ‘sex buddy’), provided you are free of illness.
  3. You do still have to be sensible. As the guidance goes on to say, you still need to make sure you’re being careful while you’re getting busy. “Make good arrangements with this person about how many other people you both see. The more people you see, the greater the chance of (spreading) the coronavirus,” it continues. The Dutch government also has some suggestions if you can’t find a “buddy” of your own. If you can’t find someone with which to enjoy a little hanky panky, the guidance has plenty of other suggestions of how to get yourself off. The list includes but definitely isn’t limited to touching yourself, sexting, watching p*rn, reading erotica, performing a striptease, and many more. It’s good to see that the Dutch government cares so much. Be safe and get yours, guys.
