If there’s one thing the pandemic has taught us, it’s that there’s no wrong time to eat enjoy a sweet treat. Yes, we all need to really stay on top of our physical health as well as our mental and emotional health, but sometimes tucking into a sugary dessert-like food during breakfast hours is just something our soul requires. That’s why I was so excited to learn that Eggo is releasing Stuffed Pancake Bites full of gooey fillings like chocolate, apple, and strawberry (separate, not together).
- Eggo is breakfast royalty. Come on now – you already know Eggo is on it when it comes to delicious breakfast treats. Their frozen waffles? Eternal fav. Their buttermilk pancakes? Game-changer. Anything they release is always going to be an automatic yes from me on the days I can’t be bothered to cook breakfast from scratch (which these days is pretty often, I must admit).
- Eggo’s Stuffed Pancake Bites will start hitting shelves in the next few months. They’re basically genius in their simplicity because they’re just the same old delicious pancakes you know and love, just stuffed with extra delicious fillings. What’s not to love about this?
- There will be several flavors to choose from. To be honest, the chocolate-filled Stuffed Pancake Bites are a stroke of genius on Eggo’s part, but I’m also intrigued by the apple and strawberry varieties rumored to be coming out around the same time. I’d probably keep a box of each in the freezer so that I can pop a couple in depending on my mood.
- They’re super convenient as well. The one downside to Eggo waffles and pancakes is that you need to have a plate and fork to eat them since you’re not going to have them plain – they need toppings! With Stuffed Pancake Bites, the topping is inside, so you can grab one (or five) on your way out the door in the morning or even while at home without having to dirty a plate. Always a plus to me!
Eggo’s Stuffed Pancake Bites are expected to be hitting grocery store shelves in April, so keep your eyes peeled!
