Embarrassing Things We Do To Get A Crush’s Attention

Your crush is the last person you want to make a fool of yourself in front of. However, somehow he’s the one you embarrass yourself in front of the most. You always try too hard when you’re around him, which is why you end up looking like a fool. Here are a few embarrassing things you’ve probably done to get a crush’s attention, because we’ve all been there at one point or another:

  1. “Accidentally” touching him. You’ve seen couples bump into each other in movies, help each other up, and fall madly in love. That’s why you’ll try to bump into him in the hallway or brush against him when you’re standing in line together. Of course, nothing ever comes from it.
  2. Sending him awkward messages. You’re too shy to talk to him in “real life,” but you know where his Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter pages are, so you decide to message him over the Internet. Of course, instead of saying “hello” like a normal person, you’ll write something way too long that ends up freaking him out.
  3. Wearing something you think he’ll love. You’ve never heard a Day to Remember song in your life, but you know it’s your crush’s favorite band. That’s why you’ll buy one of their shirts and wear it whenever you think you’re going to run into your crush. You’re hoping it’ll work as a conversation starter.
  4. Staring for a little too long. You’re hoping he’ll look back at you, so you can bat your eyes at him. Maybe you’ll even wink if you’re feeling confident. Of course, it takes him way too long to look your way, so you just end up staring at him creepily while daydreaming about the dates you probably won’t go on in the future.
  5. Posting selfies whenever he’s online. You want to get his attention, so when you realize that he’s online, you’ll post a selfie. That way, he won’t miss it. Of course, it takes you way too long to snap a presentable picture, because you want to look amazing. You’ll even think about changing into that Day to Remember shirt.
  6. Writing him a gooey poem. Whenever you’re in love, you feel like a poet. That’s why you’ll actually write a poem or a love letter for your crush. You won’t give it to him, but you’ll daydream about what would happen if you did.
  7. Asking your friend to talk to him. Your friends always want to get involved in your love life, so you instruct them to ask your crush about you. That way, they can try to figure out if he likes you back. Of course, he’ll probably just end up asking your friend out instead, since she was the one brave enough to approach him.
  8. Talking loud enough for him to hear. He’s nearby, so you’ll talk to your friends as loudly as you can, so he’ll hear how funny you are. You’ll even push your friends to laugh at everything you say, because you want to really emphasize the fact that you’re fun to be around.
  9. Visiting him at work. You know he works at the clothing store you love, so you shop there as often as possible. Of course, you never have the courage to walk up to his register. You always go to the one next to his and admire him from afar.
  10. Posting mushy song lyrics online. He’s not going to have a clue that the Adele lyrics you’re posting on Facebook are about him, but that won’t stop you from writing them. You’re hoping that your super vague reference to your love for him will push him to ask you out.
