Female DoorDash Driver Poops In Apartment Building’s Lobby After Dropping Off Food Delivery

A California DoorDash driver delivered more than food when she was caught on surveillance footage using a trashcan in an apartment building’s lobby as a toilet. A resident of the Brentwood building contacted the building manager to report feces all over the lobby. It was when the manager checked the camera that she realized exactly what happened.

  1. Lisa Stanley, the customer who made the order, was shocked. “What I saw… I could not unsee. I was flabbergasted at what I saw,” she told Fox11. “She let it go. You know what they say, ‘when you gotta go, you gotta go,’ and boy did she ever. You’re four steps away from outside where there’s a bush or your car, or I don’t know – but not in the lobby of a Brentwood apartment building!”
  2. This isn’t just disgusting, it’s potentially dangerous. While no person would ever defecate in a public space like this, it goes far beyond lack of decorum. In fact, it’s a safety issue. “This is a health issue. You have a human being who’s taking a poop in the middle of her job in a lobby of an apartment building and then resuming her job which is delivering and touching food,” Stanley pointed out.
  3. DoorDash claimed to have handled the situation swiftly. Stanley contacted DoorDash and received what seemed to be an automated response which read: “Thank you for your patience, and I hope you’re doing well. We do not condone this type of action and are currently investigating this with the information provided.” You would think there’d be a bit more outrage! They did, however, note that the driver had been fired and refunded her order in addition to giving her $20 credit.
  4. When Stanley uploaded footage online, it was clear DoorDash hadn’t acted after all. Replying to her tagged video, a DoorDash rep said: “Hello, Lisa! We cannot apologize enough for this happening. The actions of the Dasher were completely uncalled for. Allow us to make sure we get this addressed. Send over a DM with your email and phone number so we can make this situation right.” Wait, hadn’t they already made it right? What’s going on here?
  5. DoorDash has since issued an additional statement to Fox11. “The trust and safety of our community is extremely important and what’s shown in this video is absolutely unacceptable. We’re actively investigating this and will take all appropriate actions, including cooperating with law enforcement on any investigation,” the company said.
