Florida Man Arrested For Beating Ex-Boyfriend Up Over Fight About Circumcision

Florida Man Arrested For Beating Ex-Boyfriend Up Over Fight About Circumcision Pinellas County Sheriff's Office

A Florida man was arrested for beating up his ex-boyfriend after the pair fought about circumcision. Kyle Elias Perez, 28, is said to have initiated both the assault as well as the argument that preceded it in the early hours of May 4th in the home the men shared, the Tampa Free Press reports.

  1. Perez believed his ex had “no compassion” for his feelings on the issue of circumcision. Perez reportedly told the victim of his wishes to have an “uncircumcised penis” after waking him up at about 5:15 a.m. Then a screaming match erupted as Perez didn’t believe he got the support and empathy from his ex that he believed he deserved.
  2. Perez launched a physical attack. He attacked his ex, grabbing his left arm and hitting him in the face with a closed fist. Perez then pulled the other man’s hair while screaming at him for “having no compassion for the arrested’s mutilated genitals,” a police report stated.
  3. The victim had physical wounds from the fight. When officers from the Pinellas County police arrived on the scene, they discovered the victim with visible scratching, redness, and other abrasions. However, his injuries were not serious and didn’t require hospital treatment.
  4. Perez tried to run away from the scene. He left on foot into the alley behind the home, but police soon found him crouched and hiding behind a car. He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery before being booked into Pinellas County Jail.
