Florida Man Arrested For Assaulting Girlfriend With Ramen Noodles St. Lucie County Jail

A Florida man has found himself behind bars after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend with hot ramen noodles. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun, Brandon Smith, 21, threw the noodles at the victim after they fought about letting Smith’s dog into their shared bed.

  1. Smith did more than throw the noodles. While that alone is inappropriate and dangerous as it could cause serious burns, the 39-year-old female victim also told police that Smith followed up the attack by hitting her “on the back with the hot pot.”
  2. The suspect claims he’s innocent in all of this. He never threw the noodles at her, he swears. Instead, he told police that he was asleep and when he woke up, he “began making a pot of ramen noodles.” At that point, the victim was chasing the dog around the house and she actually “fell” onto the pot of ramen noodles as it cooked on the stove.
  3. Police took Smith into custody pretty quickly. He was arrested for domestic battery and booked into St. Lucie County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond, where he remained at the time of writing.  It’s unclear if the victim suffered any serious injuries or required medical attention.
  4. This wasn’t Smith’s first arrest. In the past year alone, he’s already been arrested for resisting police, driving without a license, and cocaine possession.
