Florida Woman Arrested For Calling 911 On Her Boyfriend For ‘Not Being Nice’ Pasco County Sheriff’s Office

A Florida woman was arrested after calling 911 on her boyfriend for not being nice to her, WCSC reports. Mary Ann Parrish, 40, was accused of abusing the emergency system by making repeated calls to report her partner despite there nothing actually being wrong that would warrant police or parademic response.

  1. Parrish called 911 an insane six times. While abusing the 911 system even once is inexcusable, doing it six times is unfathomable. However, that didn’t stop Parrish from dialing up for “help” multiple times in a four-hour period to report her boyfriend.
  2. Police did eventually respond, but not for the reasons she hoped. A deputy from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office did eventually go over to Parrish’s residence, but only to find out what the hell she was thinking in continually calling 911 for no reason.
  3. Parrish was still on the phone with a 911 operator when police arrived. The operator deserves an award for not immediately hanging up on Parrish for her ludicrous call, but the responding deputy will certainly have gotten a shock to see that she was still on the phone to 911 when he arrived.
  4. She was arrested and taken into custody. Parrish faces charges of misusing the 911 system. It’s unlikely to get her any real time behind bars, but might make her think twice about “reporting” such petty things as an argument with her boyfriend in future.
