Florida Woman Blames Windy Day For Blowing Cocaine Into Her Purse Fort Pierce Police

A Florida woman arrested for cocaine possession claimed that wind blew the illegal drug into her purse. Kennecia Posey, 26, was in a car with one other person when the vehicle was stopped by Fort Pierce police on March 21. While she admitted to having marijuana, she didn’t know anything about the Class-A drug, blaming its presence in her bag on an apparent gale with perfect aim.

  1. The car got stopped because it was swerving. According to Local 10 News, as soon as the officer approached the vehicle after it was stopped, there was a strong smell of marijuana in the air. The purse on Posey’s lap had the goods: separate bags of marijuana and cocaine.
  2. She fessed up to the marijuana pretty quickly. However, the cocaine? No idea where that came from! While it’s likely she denied knowledge of the narcotic given its much heftier legal implications, she really did try her hardest to pass the buck… onto the wind.
  3. You have to give her credit for creativity. “I don’t know anything about any cocaine,” Posey told the officer according to the arrest report. “It’s a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse.” Sure, why not? That sounds totally believable to me!
  4. Sadly, the officer wasn’t buying it and Posey was arrested. She was taken down to the county jail and arrested on one felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession. However, she later posted bond and was released.
