Florida Woman Armed With Pitchfork & Whip Tries To Sell Bears Outside Supermarket Lake County Jail

A Florida woman was arrested and stands accused of arming herself with a pitchfork and whip and trying to sell teddy bears outside a Publix store in Clermont, the Florida Highway Patrol reports. The incident happened in broad daylight, at just after 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

  1. It’s unclear what exactly she was doing. The arrest report states that a trooper saw a woman, later identified as 56-year-old Lisa Anne Slone of Ocoee, shouting and waving the pitchfork and whip outside the supermarket’s main entrance. She was asked to stop but refused, at which point she was handcuffed.
  2. The store manager gave a bit more insight into what was going on. The trooper spoke with the manager of Publix who revealed that Slone had been trying to sell teddy bears behind the store but had suddenly started to scream and run around with the weapons. Slone was also accused of stabbing a man’s minivan with the pitchfork.
  3. Needless to say, Slone was not sober when this happened. The trooper stated in his report that Slone was “highly intoxicated on some sort of stimulant drug” when she was arrested. She even told the trooper that she “felt no pain anymore and that god was in control.”
  4. Slone is now sitting in jail. She was booked into Lake County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The pitchfork and whip were placed into evidence.
