2 Florida Women Face Felony Charges For Throwing Containers Of Glitter At Man

Two Florida women were arrested after they allegedly broke into a man’s apartment and threw glitter at him during an argument. A Pinellas County arrest affidavit reveals that 27-year-old Katilin O’Donovan and 29-year-old Sarah Franks entered the man’s residence in Clearwater just before 3 a.m. and started fighting with him, at which point the glitter assault was launched, Fox 40 reports.

  1. The glitter hit the man on his body. While glitter itself isn’t very painful, O’Donovan and Franks threw containers of the crafting supply at the victim, hitting him in the head and torso.
  2. The assault continued for a while. After the initial throwing of glitter, Frank is said to have climbed over his balcony fence before going into his apartment and throwing further containers of glitter at the man. She then let O’Donovan into the apartment and she joined in throwing additional containers of glitter. Why did this guy have so much glitter?!
  3. The women’s getaway plan wasn’t very smart. According to Clearwater police, Franks left the apartment complex in a vehicle registered to her home address. The car was still warm when police arrived and there was glitter inside the vehicle.
  4. They were arrested and slapped with felony charges. Franks and O’Donovan were charged with felony burglary with assault or battery. In addition, Franks was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief since police said she kicked a window until it broke as she exited the man’s property.
