This Florist’s Toilet Paper Bouquets Are Selling Faster Than Flowers

It’s crazy to think that with everything going on in the world right now, people are hoarding toilet paper above anything else. The panic buying of the usually plentiful toiletry has gotten so bad that shelves in grocery stores around the world are coming up empty. However, if you’re truly desperate for a few rolls, you could always order one of these toilet paper bouquets from Blossom Events & Florist in Trumann, Arkansas.

  1. It started as a joke. Employees at the florist originally created the toilet paper bouquet and posted it to their Facebook page just to put a smile on the faces of staff and customers alike. After all, these are trying times and anything that can bring a little levity to the situation is always welcome.
  2. It wasn’t long before the toilet paper bouquets went viral. The photo of a Blossom employee holding the bouquet has more than 11,000 likes and 139,000 shares, with people all around the world sounding off on how hilarious they found the concept, something that came as somewhat of a surprise to the company. “It’s just like a dozen roses, except that it has toilet paper,” said David Faulkner of Blossom Events and Florist when talking to WREG. “I mean we made toilet paper look pretty, I guess if you can consider that. Like I said, it was just for giggles, you know, to bring some smiles to our community.”
  3. The $75 bouquets are selling like crazy. As you can imagine, the floral industry is suffering right now (along with many others). So while the toilet paper bouquets may have started as a joke, the fact that people are actually willing to buy them at $75 a pop has been a blessing for the business in these difficult circumstances. “It is going to affect our business one way or another,” Faulkner said. “So we’re just trying to, right now, do like everybody and make the best of it.”
  4. Sadly, it’s only available to locals. The toilet paper bouquets aren’t available to ship around the country; you’ll have to live in the local area in order to get your hands on one. Or, if you’re crafty, I suppose you could always make one of your own!
