These Underwear Protect Dads’ Nether Regions From Their Kids’ Kicks

Getting kicked in the ol’ bojangles is an unfortunate side effect of being a dad. Whether it happens when carrying their baby on their chest or when playing with their toddler who gets a little too excited, dads’ balls can really take a beating. Now, there’s a pair of underwear that claims it can protect dads’ balls from injury.

Scroll down to read more about the product and find out where to pick up a pair, and please be aware that Bolde may make a small commission on any sale completed via links we provide, which we then use to continue bringing you great new content.

  1. The product is called FridaBalls. Made by the company FridaBaby which comes up with unique and innovative solutions to some of the most common parenting problems, FridaBalls is basically a glorified pair of underwear with a reinforced area to protect the family jewels.
  2. So how does it work? According to the product description, every pair of FridaBalls comes complete with a “reinforced protective pouch” to “soften the blow” of a child’s kicks. They also boast “breathable wicking fabric to keep things fresh, a never slip secure waistband (because crack is always wack) and our patent-pending Heirloom Conservation Technology (HCT).” LOL at that.
  3. How much are they? FridaBalls sells for $27.99 per pair, which is either a little expensive or a total bargain depending on how you look at it. Can you really put a price on protecting your manhood? I don’t think so.
  4. This is a serious problem. How many memorable America’s Funniest Home Videos entries have revolved around a dad getting kicked in the nads by his kid? It’s a classic and hilarious problem (at least from the outside) that desperately needed a solution. FridaBalls claims to be that solution.
  5. It’s not a joke gift, but some people seem to think it is. Many of the Amazon reviewers seem to believe that they purchased a “hilarious gag gift” rather than a product meant to solve a serious problem. Those that did take FridaBalls seriously aren’t happy with the underwear’s performance and said that it didn’t offer much in the way of protection.
  6. Does it actually work or what? Of course, FridaBalls isn’t meant to offer complete and total protection since the protective pouch is only made of removable foam—it’s simply supposed to make it hurt a little less when your kid’s deceptively powerful foot takes a swing at your nether regions.
