Flowers are always lovely, but are they really enough on their own to convey how much you love someone? Probably not. So what is? Combining flowers with booze, which is exactly what Edinburgh Gin has done with their Botanical Bouquets coming out just in time for Valentine’s Day.

- They sold out last year within 24 hours. Edinburgh Gin brought similar bouquets out for last year’s holiday of love and it was less than a day before they were out of stock. It’s likely to be a similar situation this year, so you’ll have to be quick to ensure you get one.
- There are two new varieties on offer for 2020. Edinburgh Gin is working with MUD Urban Flowers again this year and they’re offering two different gin bouquet arrangements: Original and Rhubarb and Ginger. This is in addition to the classic Valentine’s Gin bouquet.
- The bouquets are well-conceived and executed. Each of the three gin variations comes in 70cl bottles along with bouquets made with botanicals from the respective gin it’s paired with. According to the website description, “This year’s wonder-filled arrangements include everything from pinecones, through to dried orange, lavender, dried lime and even stems of rhubarb. The result is a multisensory match that’s quite literally love at first sight, scent and sip.”
- They’ll be available to order online from 9 a.m. on January 27. There’s no guarantee how long they’ll last, but each bouquet costs £65 and is bound to be a hit with customers again this year, selling out just as quickly if not quicker. Obviously you’ll only be able to order these within the UK, but if you’re somewhere outside it, you could always grab some alcohol of your (or your partner’s) choice and make your own booze bouquet. It may not be exactly the same, but something tells me the sentiment will still get across, and that’s what matters, right?
