If you’re a fan of The Golden Girls, you’ll know that Blanche, Rose, Sophia, and Dorothy lived in Miami on the show. However, the real house used in exterior shots on the classic sitcom is actually located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles and better yet, it’s up for sale. If you and your BFFs can pull together $3 million, it can be yours!
‘Golden Girls’ house is for sale, but it’s not in Florida https://t.co/I4KS8or3SE

- The Golden Girls house was built back in 1955. Its original owners were lawyer David Noble Barry and his wife, Margaret Carr Barry, both of whom lived there until their respective deaths in 2017 and 2019, according to The Wall Street Journal. Now that they’ve passed away, the beautiful house is up for sale.
- The interior looks nothing like the Golden Girls house you remember from the show. While the girls had a lovely, comfortable abode on the series, the interiors of the actual house, which were never featured on TV, are a bit more opulent. Located at 245 N Saltair Ave, the house boasts huge open spaces with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. There’s also a big veranda in the back yard, a massive kitchen with a lime green color palette, and lots of other unique touches that make this property so special.
- Sadly, it’s not cheap. It’s not cheap to live in Brentwood in general, but given the size and the unique beauty of this home, if you want to own the Golden Girls house, it’s going to cost you. The house is currently for sale on the market for a cool $2,999,999. That’s right, just about $3 million! However, given how much space you get and the fact that it’s basically a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom mini-mansion, that could be pretty average for the area.
- No doubt the house will sell soon. Perhaps not to a Golden Girls fan since they’ll need to have lots of money too, but it’s a beautiful home regardless and will make the lucky buyer very happy, I’m sure!
