Woman Shocked To Discover Guinea Pig Ate Her Bangs Off While She Slept

A Kentucky woman who got drunk and went to sleep with her pet naked guinea pig was shocked to wake up the following morning and see the animal had chewed her bangs off. Gara Sullivan, 29, shared her hilarious mishap on TikTok, revealing that she was a bit tipsy after Thanksgiving dinner and decided to snuggle up with the animal, named Dixie, and only realized the mischief the rodent got up to when she looked in the mirror the following day.

  1. Dixie chewed her bangs off. In the video, which now has more than 10 million views, Gara shows off her “guinea wig,” showing the whisp of bangs left behind on her head as well as the chunk Dixie chewed off strewn on the floor in another room.
  2. The guinea pig didn’t even have the decency to eat the hair. If you’re going to chew someone’s bangs off, you could at least follow through and eat them, right? Not Dixie, though! “I went into the living room and they were right there on the floor,” Gara told Kennedy News and Media. “[Dixie] didn’t even swallow them — she’d just left them. I felt nothing, I was totally out. It was the night before Thanksgiving and I drank pretty heavily.”
  3. Dixie is usually kept in her cage. Gara doesn’t often let Dixie roam free in the house, especially not while she’s sleeping, and this situation just proves why! “Guinea pigs chew on a lot of random stuff but thankfully they’re usually in their cage. She’s never eaten my hair before though,” she said. “I’d say it’ll take six months to a year to grow back, it’ll probably get worse before it gets better.”
  4. Despite her naughtiness, Gara’s not mad at Dixie at all. In fact, she and her boyfriend still love her best of all three of their pet guinea pigs. “Dixie is very lovely, she loves to cuddle. She’s really sweet,” she said. “She sleeps a lot and doesn’t bite me. My other two are evil and will bite the crap out of you. Dixie’s a very chilled one — she just has a taste for human hair!”
