Gwyneth Paltrow Ski Accident Accuser Who Became ‘Self-Imposed Recluse’ Seen In Dozens Of Post-Accident Travel Photos

Terry Sanderson, the man who claimed to have become a “self-imposed recluse” after a 2016 ski collision with Gwyneth Paltrow, was shown in dozens of travel photos taken in the months and years after the accident basically disproving his claims. Sanderson originally filed a $3 million lawsuit against the actress, though a judge later reduced his claim to $300,000. The plaintiff claims that Paltrow crashed into him on the slopes at Deer Valley Resort in Utah and essentially “hit and run,” leaving him without aid and with injuries that have completely ruined his life. However, at this point, it would seem nearly impossible for Sanderson to win this case.

  1. Terry Sanderson blames Gwyneth Paltrow for his problems. The 76-year-old optometrist, who is said to have suffered broken ribs and what he describes as severe brain damage as a result of the collision, has always maintained that his life essentially came to a halt at that point. According to his testimony, he was basically a vegetable who could no longer live life to the fullest or do most of the things he used to enjoy.
  2. The problem is, that’s not exactly true. Terry Sanderson was confronted on the stand on Wednesday, March 30, by Paltrow’s attorney Stephen Owen with photo evidence that seems to prove his claims as false. Dozens upon dozens of photos were displayed from Sanderson’s own Facebook profile that showed him traveling around the world and enjoying activities that could only be undertaken by a healthy person.
  3. Sanderson didn’t slow down after his accident with Paltrow. In fact, he traveled all over the world many times, going ziplining, hiking, kayaking, and more. Photos were shown to the court revealing a smiling, completely capable, and unhurt Terry Sanderson even a couple of months after he was reportedly incapacitated completely by Paltrow.
  4. Paltrow’s lawyers will rest their case on Friday, March 30. From there, attorneys for both sides will make short closing statements before the jury deliberates. Paltrow claims Sanderson was the one who knocked into her. She’s asking for $1 in damages and payment of her legal fees in her countersuit. Will the photos of Terry Sanderson having a grand ol’ time after Paltrow allegedly ruined his life be enough to get the jury to dismiss his case? Let’s hope common sense prevails.
