What Happens When You Become The Epitome Of #RelationshipGoals

The whole #relationshipgoals phenomenon is what every couple hopes to achieve so that they can gain the approval of others by looking like the “perfect couple.” Here’s what actually happens once you get there:

  1. You no longer feel the need to show off. You won’t waste your time trying to snap the perfect shot for Instagram or craft the perfect birthday message on Facebook, because you don’t have anything to prove. After all, everyone already knows you’re the perfect couple. There’s no reason to show off anymore.
  2. You stop comparing yourselves to other couples. When your friend gets a new boyfriend, you’re 100% happy for her. There’s no jealousy involved, because you know that you’ve already found your perfect match, and you want her to be just as happy as you are. You won’t turn it into a competition.
  3. Your friends look to you for advice. Since your girlfriends know how happy you are with your boyfriend, they’ll assume you have the answers to all of their problems. Even though you’re certainly not a relationship expert, they’ll treat you like you are.
  4. You learn to enjoy the moment. You aren’t too worried about your future or your past, because you’re completely happy in the present. That’s why you cherish every moment you have with your partner. It couldn’t get any better.
  5. You realize that no relationship is perfect. Even though you two are as close to perfect as humanly possible, you still have fights. Everyone does. You can’t be in a happy relationship without having some unhappy moments.
  6. You don’t care about anyone else’s opinion. It doesn’t matter if your parents think that you should dump your boyfriend, because you two are perfectly happy together. You don’t need their approval, because you know that they’re wrong. They’ll see that eventually.
  7. You appreciate your relationship. You don’t take your partner for granted, because you know that hundreds of women would kill to be in your position. That’s why you try to show your boyfriend how much you care as often as you can. He deserves as much affection as you can give him.
  8. You stop questioning yourselves. Even if you had the chance to date your favorite celebrity, you’d turn him down. Your boyfriend is the only one you want to be with. You aren’t going to give him up, even for someone twice as rich and sexy.
  9. You don’t fake your Instagram photos. If you decide to actually post a picture online, you’re not going to force your boyfriend to pose in a certain way, so that you’ll look like you’re a happy couple. You’ll just snap a few random shots and be done with it. You don’t need to force it, because you look happy without trying.
  10. You know you’ll be together forever. In fact, everyone who’s ever met you knows that you two are going to be together forever. That’s why you don’t have a doubt in your mind about him. He’s not going anywhere and neither are you.
