JK Rowling is an utter genius who deserves every penny and accolade she receives for creating Harry Potter. It’s one of the most wonderfully imaginative and special series ever created and I love it wholeheartedly. One of my favorite parts of the series is how fun the food is. If the world of Hogwarts was real, I’d be hitting up Honeydukes basically every day. Since it’s not, I’ll have to settle for this Harry Potter advent calendar from Williams-Sonoma.
- The calendar is full of all our HP favorites. While you only get a little of each, being an advent calendar and all, every door you open in the calendar is like a special visit from the trolley witch. You get four Lemmon Sherpets, two packets of Fizzing Whizbees, three packets of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, four packets of Dolly mix, four packets of Gummy Frogs, three packets of Gummy Slugs, and four Butterscotch Drops. You’re made!
- Try not to eat it all at once. Whether or not you’re religious, advent calendars are a lot of fun. Of course, the calendars have already started shipping, so you’ll need to hang onto it until you’re supposed to open the first door on December 1. From there, you can get a treat behind 23 more doors leading up to Christmas. Frankly, I can’t think of anything better.
- It makes a great gift to yourself or the Harry Potter fan in your life. Whether you’re the Harry Potter fan or it’s someone else in your life (or both of you), this is a super unique gift that pretty much anyone who loves the series would be really pleased to receive.
