I don’t know about you, but adorable animals are pretty much 75% of the reason I’m on Instagram at all. It doesn’t matter if it’s a dog, cat, hamsters, whatever — I’m there for the cuteness regardless of the creature. My latest favorite is Honeydew the Dachshund, an adorable puppy with the brightest blue eyes you’ll ever see. She’s the sweetest!
- Honeydew is only six months old. She lives in Los Angeles with her owner, 23-year-old Heather Bruegl. She even has two big sisters, Hazelnut and Holly. From the looks of her very popular Instagram account, she’s living it up out in California!
- People always stop Heather on the street to compliment Honeydew. “We always get stopped when we are out! Many people will say that they have ‘never seen that coloring before,'” Heather said. Honeydew’s chocolate and cream dapple coat is a majorly unique pattern for sure! Heather added, “A lot of people will ask if she is an Australian Shepherd/Dachshund mix but she is actually a purebred long haired miniature dachshund.”
- Honeydew is one happy dog. “She is one of the happiest, sweetest dogs I’ve ever had. She loves everyone and every dog,” Heather said, adding that the pup always brightens up her day. “She always makes me laugh on a daily basis whether it be because she is barking at herself in the mirror or popping up out of her toy bin. I work from home so we are together 24/7. Honeydew is a total cuddlebug on the sofa while I do my work. I love taking Honeydew to have playdates with other dogs as often as possible. She enjoys sprinting around and playing with other puppies like her!”
- Her Instagram following is growing every day. At the time of writing, Honeydew has 196,000 followers and growing. There’s no doubt she’s going to continue to get more and more popular!
