Hostess Now Has Sundae CupCakes Topped With Ice Cream-Flavored Icing

I grew up on snack cakes and I still love them as an adult. From Little Debbie (the GOAT, let’s be honest) to Hostess and even Tastykake and Drake, there wasn’t really a Honey Bun or Nutty Bar I didn’t enjoy and frankly, I still feel the same now. That’s why I’m probably a little more excited than I should be about Hostess’ new Sundae CupCakes complete with ice cream-flavored icing. I mean, how good do they sound?

  1. All cupcakes are good cupcakes. The chocolate with vanilla creme filling are probably my favorite, but I’m an equal opportunity Hostess CupCake lover. Their new Sundae CupCakes are a welcome addition to the line and one that fans of the snack cake brand are sure to love.
  2. The “sundae” part is largely in the icing. The CupCake itself is a classic Hostess recipe of chocolate cake filled with vanilla creme. However, the ice cream-flavored icing really brings the sundae element in. There are even colorful sprinkles and a yummy chocolate squiggle on top to enjoy. They’re not just tasty, they’re kinda adorable too.
  3. If cupcakes aren’t your thing, how about their new brownies? Hostess knows that cupcakes aren’t everyone’s bag, so they’re also bringing out Hot Fudge Sundae Brownies. The brownies are full of “decadent chocolate chips” and are then iced with that same ice cream-flavored icing, colorful sprinkles, and a bit of chocolate for good measure.
  4. Hostess should be bringing these tasty treats to stores soon. They recently went live on Meijer’s website, so that must mean they’ll be out soon. You’ll be able to grab individually boxed packages of 8 Sundae CupCakes or Hot Fudge Sundae Brownies for around $3.89 and something tells me they’ll be worth every penny. However, they’re likely to also only be a limited-edition item, so get ’em while you can!
