How Many Dating Apps Should You Be On?

There’s no shortage of dating apps and sites out there for singletons to find their next big love (or their next one-night stand), and that makes it hard to know which one or ones to join to increase your chances of finding love. Each app offers a whole different group of single people to choose from and you don’t want to miss out, especially when more than 300 million people around the world are using them. So, how many dating apps should you be on at one time?

  1. There’s no one right answer. How many dating apps you should be on depends on the person — there’s no one magic answer that fits everyone. Some people have less attention span and prefer to focus their time and energy on one or two while others like to sort of dabble a little bit in quite a few different ones. How many you can handle is all down to what feels right for you.
  2. Sticking to just one could be a great idea. Particularly if you’re new to dating apps or don’t have a lot of time to commit to dating, settling on one that you think has the best users and suits your lifestyle and relationship goals the most might be a great idea. It guarantees that you won’t spread yourself too thin but still get a bit of a state of what dating apps have to offer.
  3. Two or three is a happy medium for many. Let’s say you download Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge. You have active profiles on all three and do occasional swiping on them all to see what kind of matches you get. Chances are, you’ll run into different types of people on each and will have more people to choose from, making it more likely you’ll find someone you’re compatible with.
  4. If you really want more, get on as many dating apps as you want. Hey, we’re not your boss. If you want to download 10 dating apps and spend hours swiping on them all, that’s your prerogative. We won’t stop you! While you should still limit your daily swiping time and delete dating apps that haven’t proven fruitful, you make your own rules.
