How To Find Out Who Your Boyfriend Is Snapchatting

Snapchatting is every cheater’s dream. Messages users send to each other via the platform disappear after 24 hours, so if your boyfriend’s up to no good, he doesn’t have to do much to cover his tracks. Before we start, let’s just get it out of the way that snooping is never a cool idea, so before you do it make sure you’re prepared for the possible fallout. Ready to proceed? Here’s how to find out who your boyfriend is Snapchatting.

  1. Log into their snapchat. Here’s the dirty deal: if you want to check out what your BF has been doing on Snapchat, you’re going to have to have access to his cell phone and Snapchat app. A way around getting their login deets is to download a spy app such as mSpy or trying to reset their login details via text or email. Either way, you have to be prepared to take the step of snooping, which is what six out of 10 people have done. If not, there are other ways to deal with your cheating suspicions without touching his phone or invading his privacy – we tackle those later in this article.
  2. Check their friends. Once you’re in their Snapchat, you should start with the basics. Who are their friends? You can access this list by tapping on their profile icon, then go to “My friends.” You might even see someone in this list that you recognize from real life.
  3. Get the lowdown on snapchat emojis. In case you don’t know, Snapchat makes use of emojis that basically define how close someone is to another user. So, if you see a baby-face emoji next to their name, this means that they’ve just started talking to your BF. On the other hand, a smiling face emoji means that they’re best friends and send each other many snaps. This can give you a pretty good idea of what you’re dealing with and who your BF is chatting to, so it’s useful to check out the Snapchat emoji list here.
  4. Check for Snapchat streaks. Another important thing to look for next to your BF’s friend’s name is their Snapchat streak with him. Basically, a “snap streak” is when two users on the app send each other photos or videos every day for a minimum of three consecutive days. So, if you see he’s got a streak with someone, that’s a good indication that he’s getting up close and personal with them. For example, “10” means that they’ve been chatting for 10 days in a row, while “100” means they’ve been exchanging messages for 100 days in a row. Yikes. Note that a Snapstreak is displayed as the fire emoji, which is usually accompanied by the number of consecutive days that they’ve been chatting next to it.
  5. Look at their snap map. If your boyfriend doesn’t really know his way around cell phones ’cause he’s not that tech-savvy, he might have enabled his Snap Map. This feature on the app allows users to see their friends’ locations. So, if you check it out you might see if your boyfriend’s “friends” are sharing their location with him. This could give you info about who he’s messing around with behind your back, even if he’d never tell.
  6. Download their snap data. Seeing as though you’re in your partner’s Snapchat account, you can access their data by checking out their activity report. This has tons of information that might give you more insight into what your partner’s been doing, such as Snapchatters they’ve blocked, their memories, and even their Snapcash transactions. Note, however, that it can take up to six hours to get your hands on the data, so bear that in mind.
  7. Get your hands on deleted snapchats. Even though the messages your BF has sent to other users have disappeared into thin air, this doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re gone forever. You just need to know how to retrieve them. This guide helps you by giving you the deets you need to learn, whether you’re using an iPhone or Android device. It might be a tad tricky, such as if your boyfriend hasn’t been backing up his stuff.
  8. Download a spy app. S**t just got real. This is something you should really proceed with caution before doing because it really takes this whole Snapchat snooping to a darker level. It should be your last resort if you can’t stop yourself from trying to find out who your partner’s chatting to. A popular Snapchat spy app is PhoneSpector. It allows you to see a Snapchat user’s videos, snaps, friends, and messages. Settle in with a cup of tea because you’ll be able to dig into all the juicy stuff about what your partner is doing and with whom

Don’t Wanna Snoop? Here’s What To Do If You Suspect Your Boyfriend Of Snapcheating

  1. Look for evidence outside of his phone. If he’s cheating via Snapchat or any other app, he’ll be showing you signs that he’s cheating. So, look for any dodgy signs, such as if he’s more protective of his phone than he used to be and doesn’t have much time to spend with you because he’s so busy doing other things or seeing other people.
  2. Confront him. Seriously, the only way to really know what’s going on is to talk to him about it. Even if you’re worried that he won’t tell you the truth, you’ll get a chance to express what’s on your mind and bring the issue of your suspicions into the light. Besides, even if he tries to lie his way out of the conversation, you’ll know.
  3. Get out of the relationship. You might not want to ditch the relationship right now, especially if you’re not 100 percent sure that the guy is cheating on you. But, this isn’t just about his Snapchat behavior. This is about you not trusting him. There’s a reason for that, so you have to explore it to find out if it’s even worth staying with this guy. Without trust, you’ve got nothing.
