World’s Best Husband Transforms Attic Into Dream Walk-In Closet For His Wife

Generally speaking, no one wants to hang out in an attic. They’re dark, musty, and kinda creepy sometimes. Well, not this one. One husband decided to turn the unfinished area into his wife’s dream walk-in closet and the results, which were achieved with Maryland-based company Remodeling & Design LLC, are absolutely incredible.

  1. The transformation was first shared by one of the couple’s kids. On June 21st, Joserin Cabrera, who tweets as @yagirljoss, shared photos of the attic transformation with the caption “anyways my dad built my mom a closet in the attic.” Unsurprisingly, the tweet went viral soon after, garnering nearly 440,000 likes and more than 68,000 retweets. How could you not love this?!
  2. Rodolfo Cabrera, the owner of Remodeling & Design LLC, is really good at his job. Originally from Guatemala, Cabrera has worked in the home remodeling business for more than 15 years and founded his company back in 2016. His work speaks for itself — it’s not often such incredible transformations take place and this looks downright incredible. Luckily, he gets to enjoy it firsthand since it’s for his own wife!
  3. Overhauling an attic and turning it into a luxe walk-in closet isn’t cheap. Talking to House Beautiful, Cabrera revealed that the remodeling job cost between $25,000 and $30,000 and took between two and weeks to complete. “Honestly, my wife and I needed more space for our clothes. One day I went up to my attic and I began to think ‘Wow, we have all this empty space that we can transform into something else’,” he explained.
  4. The process sounds pretty intense, to be honest. Cabrera revealed that he started by cleaning up the attic since it was so dirty and then his employees “did the framing, electrical, hanging up the drywall, plastering, and doing the ceiling design with the LED [lights].” Not only that, but they installed built-in shelves and moved some of the bedroom furniture to the space.
  5. The results are incredible! Seriously, who wouldn’t want a closet like this?!
