I don’t know about you, but I’m always interested in hearing new cleaning hacks that make my place tidier. However, influencers Janelle Flom and Kate Heintzelman, both 30, have grossed me and the rest of the internet out by suggesting something really disgusting with their toilet seat.

- Toilets are extremely dirty. Because there are so many germs in the bathroom, it’s important to clean up well in the room, both inside and around the toilet, to avoid the spread of bacteria. However, Flom and Heintzelman believe the best way to clean your toilet seat is a step too far.
- They suggest putting the toilet seat in the dishwasher. “Cleaning hack,” they captioned the clip, posted to TikTok and Instagram, showing them removing the seat from the toilet and placing it in the dishwasher with actual dishes from the kitchen. WHAT?!
- People immediately kicked off about this in the comments. As you can probably imagine, the sane people following the influencers immediately expressed outrage, branding Flom and Heintzelman “disgusting” and “nasty.” One person commented: “Are you kidding me??????” Another added: “This isn’t a hack. This is absolutely disgusting.” A third said: “What in the name of NASTY is going on here?!? Another reason you don’t eat at everybody’s house.”
- Many people believe the women must be desperate for views. One Instagram user suggested that the women might not have been serious with this “hack” and might just have been wanting views. Another suggested: “If looking for attention was a person!!!!”
