Jeff Bezos Responds To Leonardo DiCaprio Following Viral Video Of His Girlfriend Meeting The Actor

Jeff Bezos has issued a humorous (?) response to a now-viral video showing his girlfriend, news anchor Lauren Sánchez, meeting Leonardo DiCaprio for the first time. In the clip, filmed at the LACMA Art+Film Gala, Sánchez is seen on the red carpet looking up longingly at DiCaprio as he speaks to her. I mean, who wouldn’t be like that while meeting Romeo/Jack Dawson in person?

  1. Many people online have joked about the clip. Commenters online noted that Sánchez’s experience with DiCaprio means Bezos ‘knows it’s over’ despite being the second-richest dude on the planet. Another user tweeted: “Find you someone who looks at you the way Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend looks at Leo DiCaprio.” A third remarked: “Jeff Bezos girl literally just forgot she’s holding hands with the richest man in the world as soon as DiCaprio hugged her.”
  2. Don’t be surprised if Leo’s movies disappear from Amazon. One commenter quipped after seeing the video that “All Leonardo DiCaprio movies on Amazon, physical or digital, is no longer available.” That would be hilarious, you have to admit.
  3. Bezos is keeping a good sense of humor about the whole thing. At least it seems that way. He responded to the viral video on Twitter with a “jokey” photo of his own that contained a veiled threat to DiCaprio’s safety. The photo shows Bezos on vacation somewhere, stood in the midst of lush greenery in front of a sign that reads, “Danger! Steep cliff. Fatal Drop.” Bezos captioned the photo: “Leo, come over here, I want to show you something…” He even @’d Leo!!
  4. Everyone seems to be laughing about it anyway. It’s good to see that everyone is keeping lighthearted about the video and Bezos’ response. It’s not often that Twitter offers up some levity, so we should grab it anytime we can get it!
