Jennifer Aniston Says She’s Cut Her Anti-Vaxxer Friends Out Of Her Life

I feel like I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love Jennifer Aniston, and for good reason! She’s incredibly sweet, humble, and intelligent. You literally never hear a bad word about her in Hollywood, and given how insidious the gossip machine can be, that’s a rare feat. In any case, I already knew she was a total queen, but she’s gone and outdone herself now by admitting that she’s culled her anti-vaxxer friends from her life because she simply can’t abide people who refuse to acknowledge science.

  1. Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is a personal choice, but there’s clearly a right one. While it’s important to note that there are people who legitimately cannot take the vaccine due to allergies or other medical conditions, those who choose not to out of sheer willful ignorance and selfishness and instead rely on “fear or propaganda” have no place in my life or Jennifer Aniston’s, it seems.
  2. Aniston has one rule: “listen to the facts.” In an interview with InStyle, Aniston explained that there were people who were part of her life prior to COVID-19 that have had to exit stage left since the pandemic broke out because they simply weren’t on the same page as her. “There’s a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts,” she explained. “It’s a real shame. I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated].”
  3. She didn’t take the decision lightly. Aniston admits that losing a few friends because of differing opinions on science and health was “unfortunate,” but she believes it’s more important to do the right thing and it’s your “moral and professional obligation” to share your view on vaccines as well as your vaccination status with the people around you.
  4. Aniston respects different opinions but not when they’re not based on truth. “It’s tricky because everyone is entitled to their own opinion but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda,” she said. She added that she feels “a lot of people just don’t listen to the facts” when it comes to COVID-19 or the vaccine. Shame!
