Jennifer Lopez And Alex Rodriguez Have Reportedly Broken Up After 4 Years Together

I’m someone who’s pretty skeptical of all romances, let alone Hollywood ones, but I’ll be honest and say that I really thought for a while there that J-Lo and A-Rod were going to make it. They’ve been together for about four years now and even got engaged two years ago, which illustrated their commitment to one another. Sadly, it seems like they couldn’t make it work any longer because Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have reportedly broken up for good.

  1. Had the pandemic not happened, they’d already be married. The pair planned to have this massively lavish ceremony in Italy last summer but thanks to COVID-19, that had to be put on pause. Given that they’re not even together now, that initially disappointing decision seems to have turned into a blessing in disguise.
  2. To be fair, they were a bit iffy on marriage in the first place. J-Lo appeared on Andy Cohen’s Radio Andy show on Sirius XM back in December 2020 and opened up about the couple’s decision to cancel their wedding, admitting that while it was mainly down to the pandemic, they’d both been married before and it hadn’t gone all that well. “We’ve talked about that for sure. I mean, at our age, we’ve both been married before, it’s like, do we get married? Do we not? What does it mean for us?” she explained. “It was really sad because we were supposed to get married in June and we had planned it all. So in March or April, we’re looking down the pipe and we’re going, ‘This is maybe not going to happen.’ Italy’s the worst place in the world. And we were going to get married in Italy. It was, yeah, it was like, I was like, ‘Okay, we got to cancel everything.’ It just kind of gave us a moment to pause and think about it. And I think it’s something that maybe is still important to us, but there’s no rush, you know, there’s no rush. It’ll happen when it happens.”
  3. They seemed so happy even only a couple of weeks ago! Jennifer Lopez is currently filming a movie called Shotgun Wedding in the Dominican Republic while Alex Rodriguez is in Miami. He’d gone down to visit her on set last month and even put up an Instagram post only two weeks ago in which he said “missing this girl.” What the hell happened?!
  4. To be fair, this split hasn’t actually been confirmed. Neither Jennifer Lopez nor Alex Rodriguez have confirmed that they’ve broken up, so this could all be a crazy story made up by the press, and let’s hope it is. Weirdly enough, I’m kinda rooting for those two!
