Jim Carrey Called Out For Being ‘Creepy’ With Margot Robbie On Talk Show BBC

Jim Carrey is being called out for being “creepy” towards Margot Robbie while appearing on “The Graham Norton Show.” The actors were guests on the BBC talk show to discuss their recent projects and were seated next to one another on Norton’s infamous red sofa. While the interview started innocently enough, it wasn’t long before Carrey started making comments to Robbie that made many people angry and uncomfortable.

  1. At first, Jim Carrey was simply interested in Margot Robbie’s Australian roots. He said he wanted to travel Down Under himself in the future and he wanted to talk to her because she is “amazing.” However, that’s when things went downhill.
  2. Suddenly, he began commenting on her appearance. “It’s incredible you got as far as you have with your obvious physical disadvantages,” Carrey told Robbie. “You’re really something. That’s pure talent there. That’s a talent override there.”
  3. People laughed in the studio, but not everyone was amused. As one person remarked on Twitter, “I always thought Jim Carrey was funny, but watching him talk to Margot Robbie, rude and creepy.” Another added: “Did Jim Carrey just tell Margot Robbie she’s got where she is because of her looks? Can’t stand the man tbh.” A third chimed in: “Did anyone else think Carrey’s comment was not okay? She’s an amazing actress and now a successful producer. Had it been a male actor in her seat, I doubt he would have commented on their ‘obvious physical disadvantages.'”
  4. Robbie was praised for handling Carrey’s comments with grace. “How Margot Robbie kept her composure when Jim Carrey almost flat out said she’d only got where she was on looks alone I’ll never know,” one commenter wrote. “Shameful moment. I cringed but Margot handled the idiot with grace and poise!” another added.
