New ‘Jurassic World’ Movie With Original Cast Due Out In 2022

The new Jurassic World movie, Dominion, finally has a release date, though sadly it’s pretty far off. It looks like we won’t be reunited with those animatronic prehistoric creatures until June 10, 2022, which means we’ll have to exercise patience for at least another 18 months. At least we know it’s coming!

  1. Dominion will star much of the original cast. In addition to Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, we’re getting back together with Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neil as well, which is pretty amazing. It’ll be just like the good ol’ days!
  2. The delay has nothing to do with coronavirus. While it makes sense that many movies and TV shows have been delayed due to COVID-19 complications and safety restraints, that hasn’t affected Jurassic World: Dominion at all (though apparently a few crew members in remote locations did test positive). In fact, the movie is due to finish filming in the next month or so!
  3. Jurassic World: Dominion doesn’t want to compete. The real reason we’re waiting so long for this movie is that there are several other huge blockbusters dropping in 2021 and Jurassic World doesn’t want to have to compete with the likes of  No Time to Die and Black Widow. Makes sense!
  4. Looks like we’ll just have to be patient! Hopefully life will be a whole lot better by then and we can actually go to the theater and enjoy the movie properly!
