Keanu Reeves Brought His Mom To The Oscars And Everyone Thought She Was His Girlfriend

Keanu Reeves is one of the best celebrities and kinda seems like one of the best dudes in general. He’s kind, humble, and just seems like someone you’d love to be around. Every time we see him in public, he’s doing something else that’s awesome, like bringing his mom with him to the 2020 Oscars last night. Patricia Taylor, who’s 76, is so gorgeous that everyone thought she was actually Keanu’s girlfriend, Alexandra Grant!

  1. It’s an easy mistake to make. To be fair, Patricia looks incredible for any age, let alone 76. She could easily pass for a woman 20 years younger, so while Grant is only 46, the two most important women in Keanu Reeves’ life could be mistaken for one another if you’re not looking closely, I suppose.
  2. Taylor is incredibly talented in her own right. She’s not just Keanu Reeves’ mom, she’s also a costume designer for film and TV, so she fit right in at the Oscars. Her most famous costume she’s ever created was the bunny costume worn by Dolly Parton on the cover of Playboy in 1978. In other words, she’s a legend in her own right.
  3. You have to share your success with those who raised you. From what we know about Keanu Reeves’ upbringing, Taylor raised her son mostly on her own and she did a great job of it. While she has her own accomplishments and can certainly take care of herself, now that her son has found so much success, it makes sense that he would want to share that with the woman who helped him get where he is. Taking her along to the Oscars as his date is just one way to do that, and I don’t think anyone was surprised to see the two on the red carpet together.
  4. Bottom line? Keanu Reeves is the best. We didn’t need the Oscars to come to that conclusion, but the occasion did remind us just how cool Patricia Taylor is too.
