Man Arrested For Firing Gun Out Of Hotel Window Claimed He Was Shooting At Aliens Richmond Police Department

A Kentucky man who was arrested for firing a gun out a hotel window told police that he was firing at aliens. The Richmond Police Department were called to a hotel on Keeneland Drive at around 3:30 a.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. There, they met 55-year-old Samuel Riddell, who shared his extraterrestrial suspicions.

  1. Police were able to get everyone in the area to safety. After getting hotel guests and hotel workers out of the building and moving them to a secure location, they also managed to remove the woman inside the hotel room with Riddell, who had locked herself inside the bathroom.
  2. Riddell was immediately arrested and taken into custody. When interviewed by officers, he claimed that he was only shooting out the hotel window because he had seen aliens in the parking lot and was firing at them.
  3. Unsurprisingly, Riddell was a convicted felon. This wasn’t his first brush with the law, and he was heavily armed upon his arrest. Police noted he had two handguns and a semi-automatic rifle in his possession.
  4. He was booked into Madison County Detention Center and charged. He faces four counts of wanton endangerment of a police officer, two counts of wanton endangerment, two counts of criminal mischief, one count of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
