Khloe Kardashian Has Tumor Removed From Her Face 20 Years After Skin Cancer Scare

Khloe Kardashian has revealed that she recently had a tumor removed from her face, almost two decades after she had a cancerous mole removed from her back when she was 19. The Kardashians star took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, October 11 to address the “numerous stories going around about the ever-evolving bandage” on her face, explaining that she’d had a “small bump” removed from her cheek.

  1. The “bump” on Khloe’s face was there for seven months. Despite doing everything to get rid of it, it didn’t get smaller or go away. This led her to go and get it biopsied. According to the 38-year-old, she was advised to have an “immediate operation” to have it removed.
  2. Thankfully, all problematic cells seem to have been removed. “I’m grateful to share that Dr. Fischer was able to get everything,” she wrote on her Stories. She went on to say that the “margins appear clear.” While Khloe Kardashian didn’t explicitly state that doctors told her she had cancer, she obviously made the right decision having the bump removed.
  3. The healing process is well underway. Khloe went on to say that she’ll be wearing bandages on her face for a long while yet as her skin continues to heal. “You’ll continue to see my bandages and when I’m allowed, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation in my cheek from the tumor being removed) but until then I hope you enjoy how fabulous I’m making these face bandages look,” she shared.
  4. Khloe advised her followers to get their skin checked regularly. While she said she is pre-disposed to skin cancer, she believes it’s important for everyone to “get checked … frequently.” She wrote: “At 19 years old, I had melanoma on my back, and I had a surgery to remove that, as well,” the reality star wrote. “I am pre-composed [sic] to melanomas. … I am someone who wears sunscreen every day religiously, so no one is exempt from these things.” Thankfully, Khloe Kardashian appears to be cancer-free!
