Kourtney Kardashian has revealed that she nearly lost her baby. The reality star announced her pregnancy in June and has been flying high ever since. However, earlier this week, news broke that Travis Barker had rushed home from his European tour with Blink 182 due to an “urgent family matter.” While many assumed his quick return had to do with Kourtney, she only confirmed it on her Instagram page on Wednesday, September 6.

  1. Kourtney Kardashian thought she would lose her baby. However, she thanked her team of doctors for doing everything they could to ensure her pregnancy could continue successfully. “I will forever be grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she wrote alongside a photo of her holding Barker’s hand in a hospital bed.
  2. She was fortunate to have Travis by her side throughout what would have been a scary ordeal. Her husband and her mom Kris Jenner played a big role in supporting her through the experience. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this,” she continued.
  3. Kourtney Kardashian has always sailed through her pregnancies. She’s a devoted mom to three kids, Mason, Penelope, and Reign. She had no issues during her previous pregnancies, so she was completely taken off-guard here. “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery,” she revealed. “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”
  4. The surgery she underwent was successful and now she and her baby are safe. Kourtney Kardashian wrapped up her Instagram post by thanking God for allowing her to continue the “truest blessing” that is her pregnancy. “Praise be to God,” she wrote. “Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
