Lay’s Is Releasing Chips Dusted With Doritos Cool Ranch Seasoning Frito-Lay

There’s no denying that Cool Ranch Doritos are some of the best chips ever, but sometimes you want that Cool Ranch flavor with a slightly different, more potato chip texture rather than tortilla chips. That may seem like a weird preference, but it’s obviously not all that uncommon because Lay’s is releasing potato chips dusted with Cool Ranch Doritos flavor and my mind is totally blown!

  1. Have you ever heard of anything more perfect? Lay’s Doritos Cool Ranch potato chips are super meta and I love that about them. They basically took an entire chip that was its own thing and shoved it into another chip. Why? Who knows? But as the old saying goes, you should never look a gift horse in the mouth. I’ll take these happily!
  2. They’re listed as a new item on Target’s website. Frito-Lay hasn’t actually made an official announcement about these bad boys – they were listed on the Target website. From the looks of things, Lay’s Doritos Cool Ranch will be released in 7.75-oz. bags and will retail for about $3.59.
  3. These are sadly limited-edition. While it would be pretty amazing to get your hands on these year-round, they’re only a limited edition item and won’t be around for long. “Ever wondered what Doritos Cool Ranch flavor would taste like on Lay’s chips?” the bag says. “Saddle up, because Lay’s put this iconic Doritos flavor on these iconic potato chips. Try all three for a limited time!” Sigh, what a tease!
  4. This isn’t the only mash-up snack that’s coming out. Also coming soon are Cheetos Cheese-Flavored and Funyuns Onion-Flavored chips. Again, I’m not sure why we’re combining all these different snacks into one, but I’m also not mad about it. On the contrary, I’m actually just feeling pretty hungry and want to get my hands on some ASAP.
