When you were growing up, you were probably reminded constantly by your parents not to play with your food. If only this LEGO Waffle Maker existed back then! Technically, it’s a Building Brick Waffle Maker, but same thing—it makes it possible to turn your breakfast into a 3D construction that’s just as fun to create as to eat.
- It’s the first machine of its kind. While there are already pancake and waffle makers that allow you to create the foods in different shapes, no one has come up with a LEGO version just yet with different-sized pieces to allow you to construct towering creations with your food. How did this not exist before?!
- You can make 14 pieces at a time. That means if you’re cooking for kids or multiple people of any age, everyone can get playing at once while the next batch cooks. Depending on your needs and your level of support for the project’s Kickstarter, you can even get extra plates to make bricks of different sizes.
- Imagine all the things you can make! Building the Empire State Building with your LEGO waffle maker? You can do it! How about something more complicated like the Egyptian pyramids? Whatever you can dream, you can build… and then you can eat. It seriously couldn’t get any better.
- This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Now that we’re all spending more time at home, that means we’re all eating breakfast way more often than usual. What better time to bust out a waffle maker and get fancy with your breakfast?
- It won’t be shipping until August 2020. The LEGO waffle maker — no affiliate with the official brand but I’m still going to call it that because duh — has already received well over its initial funding goal of $7,500 and is currently at nearly $65,000, meaning this is a sure thing. However, it won’t begin shipping to supporters until later this summer, so there is a bit of a wait. Also, it’s only available to ship in the US and Canada, so if you live elsewhere, this one isn’t for you.
