You Can Now Pre-Order A Life-Sized Baby Yoda In All His Glory

I think we can all agree at this point that nothing and no one is more adorable than Baby Yoda. Officially named “The Child,” the breakout star of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian is so cute that we could all collectively spontaneously combust with the desire to hug and squeeze him forever. (Oh, just me? Hmph.) If you too love Baby Yoda, you might be interested to know that you can now pre-order a life-sized version of him to display proudly around your house!

  1. No, he’s not the size of a human child. Baby Yoda is little, so while the collectible figurine from Sideshow is indeed life-sized, it’s only 16.5 inches (or 1 foot, 3 inches) tall because that’s Baby Yoda’s actual height. It would be a little freaky if he was the size of a human kid, right?
  2. Baby Yoda has been “meticulously crafted” to ensure he’s realistic. According to the product page, in addition to being life-sized, he’s incredibly detailed so that he seems like he’s right off the show. “Inspired by its unique onscreen appearance, this mixed media statue features a tan fabric coat swaddling The Child as it gazes up with charming wide eyes, hiding the silver shift knob from the Razor Crestâ„¢ in its right hand,” the description reads. He even has a bit of fuzz on his head!
  3. Sideshow is offering other Mandalorian merch too. It’s not just Baby Yoda on offer, though clearly a life-sized version of The Child is always going to be at the top of anyone’s must-have list. The retailer is also offering and Incinerator Stormtrooper, IG-11, a Remnant Stormtrooper, and the Mandalorian himself, if that’s your thing.
  4. Unfortunately, this collectible doesn’t come cheap (and isn’t available just yet). As you can probably imagine, having your very own life-sized Baby Yoda is going to cost you a pretty penny. While it won’t ship until somewhere between August and October 2020, you can pre-order it now for $350 on the Sideshow website. Considering how detailed and well-executed it is, that’s a pretty fair price, but it’s not necessarily in everyone’s budget. Better get saving!
