Lindsay Lohan Is Releasing New Music For The First Time In 12 Years

It’s hard to believe that the absolute banger that was “Rumors” was released all the way back in 2004. It seems like only yesterday Lindsay Lohan was at the top of her game, killing it in Hollywood movies — hello, Mean Girls — and music. A lot may have changed over the past 15 or so years, but now she’s ready for a comeback. That’s right, Lindsay Lohan is releasing new music.

  1. The last time we had new music from LiLo was in 2008. Lindsay Lohan’s last official single release was in 2008 with “Bossy,” which was a non-album single that did absolutely nothing in the charts. Actually, that’s not entirely true—it did reach #77 in the Canadian charts, but that’s about it.
  2. LiLo teased the new music across her social media channels. She’s wiped her Instagram account save for the teaser and posted the mini 30-second video on her Twitter account too. You can’t actually hear any of the song; it’s really just ambient noise with Lindsay saying “I’m back” at the end. Doesn’t keep me from being excited though!
  3. No word on what the new Lindsay Lohan music will be like. We don’t even know what the first song will be called, though someone on People has it listed as “Xanax.” LiLo apparently “released” that song back in September 2019 but no one has actually heard it yet so the assumption is that it’s coming at some point this year.
  4. We don’t know when the comeback will officially happen either. There was very little information on Lindsay Lohan’s new music in the teaser posts in terms of timeline either. It seems unfair to tease us with the prospect of some incredible new pop music and not tell us anything else about it. As if we’re not stressed enough with everything else going on in the world. Give us some good news here, LiLo!!
