Man Found Asleep In Pile Of Meth And Chicken Fingers Days After Prison Release Jefferson County Jail

An Alabama man was re-arrested only days after being released from prison after he was found asleep face-down in a pile of chicken fingers and methamphetamine, CBS 42 reports. Matthew Williamson had only been released from Jefferson County Jail on September 17, but he embarked on a new crime spree just a few hours later. Looks like his freedom was pretty short-lived.

  1. Williamson stole a car hours after his release. Authorities say that only a few hours after he was released from Jefferson County Jail, he headed to Hueytown and stole a vehicle. His activities for the next couple of days are currently unknown.
  2. He broke into a concession stand a few days later. After receiving reports of a break-in with many snacks being stolen, authorities found him at the Pleasant Grove Athletic Complex asleep face-down in a pile of meth and chicken fingers. He was also found in possession of plenty of candy and chips.
  3. Williamson at least admitted what he’d done. He pleaded guilty to stealing the car and burglarizing the concession and headed back to Jefferson County Jail. It’s unlikely that he’ll be let go quite so easily this time. It’s unclear when he will appear in court and what his new sentence might be.
