‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Has Finished Filming So More Baby Yoda Is Headed Our Way

‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Has Finished Filming So More Baby Yoda Is Headed Our Way Disney+

If like the rest of the world, you fell in love with Baby Yoda when you watched the new Disney+ series The Mandalorian late last year, you’ll probably be pleased to know that filming on Season 2 is finished, meaning it won’t be long before we’re reunited with The Child and all the other characters we came to know in the show set in the Star Wars universe.

  1. Of course, the show’s not all about Baby Yoda. It should be, but alas. The Mandalorian actually follows Din Djarin, a bounty hunter traveling in a galaxy far, far away. Like the rest of us, Din Djarin loves The Child, so hopefully we’ll see them reunited in Season 2.
  2. Cara Dune will be back. We know because Gina Carano, the actress who plays her, shared a photo of herself in costume on her Instagram page, letting fans know that Season 2 of The Mandalorian was wrapped and ready now for what will no doubt be months of special effects work. While it’s no surprise that Cara Dune is returning, it’s still pretty cool to have confirmation.
  3. Unfortunately, we won’t be getting new episodes until October. Disney chief Bob Iger said last month that while a second season is forthcoming, fans shouldn’t expect the new episodes to hit Disney+ until October 2020.  The awesome Jon Favreau will be back as the show’s main writer, executive producer, and showrunner, so good things await us!
  4. There’s time to catch up if you haven’t finished Season 1. Given that Season 2 of The Mandalorian is still several months away, that means you have plenty of time to watch the first season if you haven’t already or to rewatch it so you can refresh your memory before the new episodes. It’s by far one of Disney+’s most exciting and entertaining shows. so even if you don’t consider yourself a Star Wars fan, it’s worth a watch!
