Matthew McConaughey And Woody Harrelson Could Be Biological Brothers

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have had incredibly successful Hollywood careers, and they’ve built a great friendship over the years as well. They even co-starred in the likes of “EDtv” and “True Detective” over the years. However, it appears their bond may be stronger than anyone ever realized before and the actors might actually be brothers. Say what?

To be fair, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are already like brothers in many ways. Their friendship is so tight, their families even go on vacation together regularly. However, McConaughey recently revealed that his connection to Harrelson is quite possibly a biological one during an interview on “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa.”

As it turns out, McConaughey’s mom, Mary, told him one time that she’d been intimate with Harrelson’s dad, Charles. As it turns out, Charles was a hitman who died in 2007. While they’ve never done DNA testing or anything, neither star would be shocked to learn they’re related.

“You know, where I start and where he ends, and where he starts and I end, has always been like a murky line. And that’s part of our bromance, right?” McConaughey joked.

“My kids call him Uncle Woody. His kids call me Uncle Matthew. And you see pictures of us and my family thinks a lot of pictures of him are me. His family thinks a lot of pictures of me are him.”

Matthew McConaughey went on to say that he was in no hurry to find out if he and Woody Harrelson are really brothers, particularly because of the effect the answer might have on his life.

“Look, it’s a little easier for Woody to say, ‘Come on, let’s do [DNA tests]’, because what’s the skin in it for him? It’s a little harder for me because he’s asking me to take a chance to go, ‘Wait a minute, you’re trying to tell me my dad may not be my dad after 53 years of believing that’? I got a little more skin in the game,” he said.
