Mayoral Candidate Harassed At Campaign Rally By Dildo Drone

A man who’s running for mayor in New Mexico was harassed at a campaign rally this week by a dildo on a drone. Bernalillo County Sheriff Manny Gonzales hopes to be the leader of Albuquerque and was addressing a crowd at Revel Entertainment on June 1 when the drone carrying the adult toy appeared. That’s when things started to get even crazier.

  1. The owner of Revel pulled the drone out of the air. According to KOB4, when the drone was pulled from the air by the owner of Revel, 20-year-old Kaelyn Dreyer then grabbed the device. “At some point, some people sprung up and they were carrying signs and it was a coordinated effort, very intentional and these people were trained,” Gonzalez later said of the incident.
  2. Gonzalez ended up being struck. Dreyer is said to have been unsuccessful in trying to get the drone back, which is when he then “balled his fist and swung it,” narrowly missing Gonzalez’s head and instead striking him in the hands. “He tried to take a swing at me and he glanced across my arms and struck me. And I just took a step back. It wasn’t anything I was very concerned about. I’ve been in a lot worse situations,” Gonzalez explained.
  3. An off-duty deputy was on the scene to help out. That deputy is said to have “de-escalated the assailant’s efforts” and was able to pin Dreyer to the ground.
  4. The suspect was arrested soon after. Court documents state that Dreyer “never intended to hit Manuel but was upset that Manuel was answering a question, from the crowd, in a disrespectful way. He stated that he did ball his fist and was just going to swing them through the air and leave…”
  5. Gonzalez isn’t going to let this get in the way of his campaign. “I understand the first amendment, and if you want to come to an event that we’re hosting, you have the right to speak freely but at the point where you commit a crime with the people that we have there, you’re going to go to jail,” he said.
