McDonald’s Popcorn Caramel Ice Cream Is The Soft Serve Flavor Dreams Are Made Of

Pretty much everything on McDonald’s extensive menu is guaranteed to be delicious. Sure, the french fries are arguably the best thing on offer, but the fast-food chain’s soft serve ice cream is definitely on par. Whether you get it plain on a cone or include some add-ons in a McFlurry, it’s just downright delicious, and now McDonald’s locations in Singapore have raised the game with a new popcorn caramel flavor that I’m desperate to try.

  1. McDonald’s Singapore is not playing when it comes to flavors. The country’s Micky D’s regularly includes some pretty special items on their menu and the ice cream is no exception. One of the most popular flavors at the moment is their peach cone which is available as a standalone flavor or swirled with their original vanilla (don’t get me started!). It makes sense that they’d do something as adventurous as popcorn caramel!
  2. It’s not the first time the flavor has made an appearance. The flavor has been on sale in the country before for a limited time, and McDonald’s Singapore announced on Instagram earlier this month that it was making a comeback just in time for the new year. Better yet, it’s only $1! Can’t beat a bargain.
  3. You can get it as a standalone or swirled with vanilla. Much like the restaurant’s peach offering, popcorn caramel soft serve is available as its own flavor or in a twist cone, swirled with their original vanilla ice cream. Depending on how sweet it is, mixing it with vanilla might be a good idea.
  4. People seem to really love it. Those who have tried the flavor have positive things to say about it, with one person sharing on Facebook, “I wasn’t even expecting this flavor, so it is a surprise. It does taste like what it is named.” Another added on Instagram that it’s “creamier and not too sweet.”
  5. It’s only available “while supplies last.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like popcorn caramel is going to be a permanent ice cream flavor on the McDonald’s menu in Singapore, which is all the more reason to book a trip ASAP to ensure you get to try it out. (Yes, I’m suggesting you fly to the other side of the world for a $1 ice cream.) They’re being pretty vague about how long it’ll last, so who knows when it will be torn away from us again or if it will ever come back?
