‘Mean Girls’ Toaster Strudels Are A Thing And The Pink Icing Is Totally Fetch

Mean Girls may have come out 16 years ago — God, I feel old just typing that! — but it’s just as popular as ever. New fans are being introduced to the movie all the time and they’re loving it, which makes total sense because it’s so great. Maybe that’s why Mean Girls Toaster Strudels don’t seem so totally out of place on supermarket shelves in 2020!

  1. I mean it’s weird… but kinda cool? Foods and movies have always done tie-ins. It’s called synergy! However, I do have to admit it was a little shocking to discover that Toaster Strudels was doing a Mean Girls version. It just seems… random? That being said, I’m totally intrigued and happy to buy!
  2. It has to have pink icing. On Fridays we wear pink, okay? And clearly when we eat Toaster Strudels, we ice them with pink icing. The icing is advertised as being “limited edition” and I’m sure it’s just some generic sweet flavor, but it’s also still probably delicious so I’m into it. It’s fetch, you might say.
  3. There’s an added perk! If you buy two boxes of Mean Girls Toaster Strudels, you get a pass to stream the movie via Fandango for free. If you don’t already own it/don’t want to technically pay to rent it, you can just eat your way through two boxes of these treats and you’re golden! Or, you know, pink.
  4. These are only around for a limited time, of course. How limited? I’m not sure. But I’m a Toaster Strudel fan even without the co-branding and I’m a Mean Girls fan without the strudels. Putting them together is a perfect match and I’m pretty sure I’m their target customer range. As soon as I see them at my local supermarket, I’m totally down for grabbing as many packages as I can hold. Yum!
