Metallica All Within My Hands Foundation Donates $350,000 To Pandemic Relief Efforts

Metallica has committed $350,000 to organizations working on providing relief for those affected by the global pandemic. The band’s charitable foundation, All In My Hands, announced the donation via their website on Thursday. No doubt the money will be welcomed by nonprofits currently struggling to cope in the current situation.

  1. The money will be split into four separate grants. In the statement, Metallica revealed that the $350,000 will be broken down into four separate grants going to four different organizations, each of whom are working to provide relief. “In the wake of the spread of the coronavirus, the most vulnerable people in our communities need help now more than ever,” the statement read. “All Within My Hands is reaching out with four grants totaling $350,000 to organizations dedicated to assisting those hit hard by the worldwide pandemic.”
  2. The four organizations getting the money will put the money to good use. All In My Hands will give $100,000 to Feeding America, $100,000 Live Nation’s Crew Nation initiative, $100,000 to Direct Relief, and $50,000 to Bartender Emergency Assistance Program.
  3. Metallica isn’t done raising money either. They’re still raising money via their Metallica Mondays streaming project. By broadcasting full concerts from their archives on Monday evenings at 5 p.m. PST, they’ve already raised more than $15,000 from fans. That’s incredible!
  4. The band is all about making a difference. “We know this is the hardest of times for many of you, but if you would like to support any of these organizations, please feel free to reach out directly to our incredibly dedicated partners as the needs are very wide-ranging; every dollar helps,” the band said. It’s great to see artists with such a huge platform using that reach to make a major difference when the world needs it most. If we all come together and work hard, we can beat this thing and come out the other side stronger and more united than ever.
