Minnesota Man Murders Wife Over Lack Of Sex Then Starts Shooting Neighbors

A Minnesota man is behind bars after he killed his wife over lack of sex and then started shooting at his neighbors. Jason Michael Mesich, 47 and from Minneapolis, is said to have killed his wife, 47-year-old Angela Lynn, before injuring two female neighbors, reports WCCO. He’s now behind bars and faces three second-degree murder charges.

  1. Mesich shot his wife in cold blood. Just before 11 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, Mesich shot Angela in the stomach and torso during a violent fit of rage. He told investigators that he became angry when the couple got in a fight over a lack of sex and immediately grabbed his gun and fired it at Angela twice before leaving her for dead.
  2. He then turned the gun on his young neighbors. Makayla Saulter-Outlaw, 12,  and her sister, Canisha Saulter, 29, were outside loading a moving truck when Mesich came out and trained his gun on them. He shot Makayla in the head and Canisha received several bullet wounds to the leg and hip. Makayla was said to be holding Canisha’s 1-year-old daughter when the gunshots broke out and saved the child by shielding her with her body.
  3. One of the girls is still in critical condition. Makayla remains in critical condition at a local hospital and it’s been reported that medical personnel believe she may never fully recover from her injuries.
  4. Mesich was arrested in his home. There, police found him ranting and raving and shooting off a gun while throwing objects. They found the body of Angela closeby. After a short standoff, he was taken into custody, but not before telling cops that he “hated all children.”
  5. Makayla’s great aunt, Rev. Marcia Westbrook, started a GoFundMe to aid in her recovery. So far, they have raised more than $64,000 of their $500,000 goal towards helping Makayla, Canisha, and their families heal after this traumatic experience.
