Model Says She’s Sick Of Being Shamed By ‘Jealous Moms’ Who Call Her Fat And ‘Say Her Baby Has 10 Dads’

A former glamor model has hit back at relentless trolls who bully her online, claiming that “jealous moms” regularly call her fat and claim that her baby “has 10 dads.” Carla Belluci opened up to The Daily Star about the barrage of abuse she’s experienced on social media and admitted that these harsh words from strangers have a terrible effect on her mental health.

  1. Belucci, a mom of four, just had her youngest child. The 40-year-old is regularly faced with horrible comments about her body and her life that she finds hard to stomach. “People say I am horrific, ugly and they question how anyone could ever want to have a baby with me or get into bed with me. They say I still look fat – just the worst things you can say to a woman,” she explained. “Others say I am air bruised and not real even though I always post videos on Instagram. I’m sick of these body shaming trolls telling me how horrific I am and telling me my new baby has 10 dads.”
  2. Much of the harassment she gets is from other moms. While you would think women would stick together, that hasn’t been Belucci’s experience. “These comments are constant and a lot of them are from mums. I am disgusted that mums don’t bring up their children to respect other children,” she said. “Some of the accounts are clearly mothers of daughters and what kind of message does that send when they are body shaming other women.”
  3. Belucci had a traumatic birth with her baby, Blu. She gave birth in September after having a c-section that got extremely complicated. At one point, Belucci stopped breathing for nearly three minutes. Being trolled so much has been even harder to deal with due to that experience. “No matter what anyone looks like, you shouldn’t be body shaming whether it’s on social media or on the street. You should know better. I had a baby six months ago and I’m not invincible. When someone comes in and says I’m still a bit weighty I feel a massive pressure to lose weight and to stay in shape,” she said. “It was only last week when I said to my partner that we are going to Dubai soon but I’m fat. Comments do get in your head even though I know I’m not fat. I’m curvy but I’m not fat and I’ve just had a baby and I look good.”
  4. She now refuses to post photos of her baby. While Belucci is an adult who can deal with the harsh comments because she has to, she won’t subject her kids to the same thing. “Some people have said I am being over the top and I’m doing it to sign a big money deal but I’m not. I’m doing it to try and protect her as much as I can. I almost feel guilty that I’m bringing this on her because of what I do,” she said. “It’s hard not putting up pictures of her because there are people who follow me and support me. But I can’t put her on social media because there’s too much hatefulness.”
